Applications are due by January 15th, 2010
- Scholarships are available to sons, daughters and grandchildren, as well as subordinates of an NBM Member, who is in good standing, and has been a member a minimum of three years.
- SELECTION PROCEDURE
- Each member is to complete the Member Scholarship Form, and submit it to any Board of Director Member, mail, fax, or email by a date specified on the application.
- The Scholarship Committee will determine the Scholarship recipients. Alternate names will also be considered, should the Scholarship recipient not fulfill the confirmation requirements in step 2c. The recipients’ names will be listed in the meeting minutes.
- Within thirty days following the end of the first marking period (e.g. trimester, semester,) the member is to present to the Scholarship Committee, written evidence of his/her recipient’s successful completion of that period, showing a grade level of at least 2.0. A copy of the college (1) grade transcript (2) college letterhead confirmation is acceptable.) The Treasurer will then issue the check.

If the scholarship recipient does not successfully complete the marking period, or if proper confirmation evidence is not provided, the #1 alternate will be issued the scholarship check instead, after satisfying the above confirmation process. If alternate #1 fails such process, payment to alternate #2 will be made after the confirmation process.
- Freshmen and upper classmen may apply for the scholarship; however, priority will be given to upper classmen. The scholarship recipient will be allowed to enter again for the next years drawing, but will have to re-submit a member scholarship request form and following the selection procedure.
- The scholarship is available for any student attending an accredited college, university or technical school/institute that requires at least a two-year curriculum. And again, priority will be given to upper classmen.
