TOWN OF EASTON
Mechanic or Senior Mechanic
The Town of Easton is accepting applications for qualified individuals to fill the position of full time Mechanic or Senior Mechanic, 40 hours per week.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred for Senior Mechanic) and completion of 1-2 years technical education and or training and the repair and maintenance of automobiles and equipment supplemented by 4-5 years experience troubleshooting and repairing with heavy or light diesel and gasoline powered vehicles, or any equipment combination of training and experience in accordance with the essential functions of the job. Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Massachusetts Class B CDL License with air brake and tanker endorsement; possession of Massachusetts Class 1B and 2B Hoisting License. Senior Mechanic has more specific requirements as listed in the job description.
This is an hourly paid union position with excellent pay, benefits and municipal pension system. Anticipated hiring range: Mechanic is $31.895 – $40.368 per hour ($66,341.60 – $83,965.44 if annualized) DOQ; full Career Range up to $92,225.12. Senior Mechanic is $33.283 -$42.169 per hour ($69,228.64 – $87,711.52 if annualized) DOQ; full career range up to $96,345.60. The successful candidate must provide proof of an acceptable driving record from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
